Relational issues are an integral part of my work. During therapy, for my main methodology in counseling I utilize CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The behavioral aspect is when the client or couple brainstorms with me, and after therapy, puts action to the brainstorm's action steps we discussed. A positive value from the action step is actually 'caught' by doing the brainstormed behavior. The healthy behavior sticks because it creates pleasure or accomplishment. Then, the cognitive aspect focuses on perspective change. For instance, if you look at something from a different angle, you in turn, can believe differently. Once we believe differently, we will act and emote differently. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy encourages lasting change. This is how I become ‘Your Personal Catalyst for Change’.
